My clinic
A fee for the session will be set when you make your first appointment. Payment is due
at the end of the session by cash or cheque unless we agree to another arrangement. In
some cases, another party such as an insurance company will be paying.
Cancellations with less than 3 working days' notice generally incur the full fee
because I will be setting that time aside for you.
Confidentiality is maintained through out our work, except for certain very unusual
situations in which I have a legal or ethical obligation which conflicts with this.
Also, I regularly seek consultation with another senior colleague to gain a deeper
understanding and maintain a high quality service. Your name and any other information
which could identify you is not revealed. If you do not wish me to discuss your
situation in these consultations, you should tell me. Apart from these exceptions, I
will always seek your permission about revealing any aspect of our work to anyone else.
I do not provide an emergency service. If you are in a crisis and require urgent
attention, you should approach your GP or your local Accident and Emergency service.
You are welcome to telephone me as well and I may be able to speak with you directly or
you may need to leave a message. I will call you back when I am free to do so.
